PLT hanging when Zebra Label Printer is connected

I am trying to print with the QLn220. However, the PLT hangs whenever it attempts to communicate with the Zebra.

Steps to recreate:

Scenario 1:

1. Plug in Zebra
2. Turn on PLT
3. PLT hangs on startup image
4. Unplug Zebra
5. PLT displays home screen

Scenario 2:

1. Turn on PLT
2. Plug in the Zebra
3. Run Label Test from PLT
4. PLT hangs on test screen
5. Unplug Zebra
6. Screen displays "failed to flush printer: read /de/usb/lp0: input/output error"

Scenario 3:

1. Turn on PLT
2. Plug in the Zebra
3. Download new test suite
4. PLT resets
5. PLT hangs on reset screen
6. Unplug Zebra
7. PLT displays the home screen

Scenario 4:

1. Turn on PLT
2. Plug in Zebra
3. Run Test Suite
4. Plan run to the last test
5. PLT hangs
6. Unplug Zebra
7. PLT display Green Pass screen

When I unplug Any suggestions? I tried adding pass and fail .zpl files to the deployment as well.
