The display on our PLT-200A has developed some burn-in from the home screen. It's still usable, thankfully. A different display might be nice.

  PLT-OS 1.8.2, released in June 2022, added a screensaver for the PLT-200.

  We have noticed this as well. OLEDs typically have this problem but we still use them since they are more efficient and bright enough to use in a wide range of lighting environments. Our new model PLT-300A does have a different screen and we added an auto-dimming routine when there is no activity. So far, this seems to be working.

  For the PLT-200A, we do not have an alternative screen available to us. If it gets really bad within the 5-year warranty, we can replace the display for you.
