It's useful to be able to scan serial numbers into the system for reporting purposes.

  Is it possible to scan the value, and then use it further on down the script?  We want to be able to scan the serial on the label, then burn that serial scan into our units memory, so the unit is "self aware" of "who" they are?

  We used the following configuration to do that very thing:

   

  - ident: SCAN-S1

    title: Scan DUT Board Barcode

    steps:

     - command: scan ANY

       extractKey: dut_id

   

   

  In this example, the contents of the barcode scan, ends up in the dut_id variable which can be used further on down the script.  It would be cool to have this example (or some such) in the doc for the SCAN command.
